A high school student was struck and seriously injured by a subway train Friday morning after collapsing on the Union Square station platform, authorities said.
Adrian Rodriguez, 18, of the Bronx, suffered a serious head injury in the 7:50 a.m. accident and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital.
An eyewitness told police the teen appeared pale as he walked along the platform - and the youth either fainted or fell into the southbound No. 5 train's path.
The accident spattered blood on the platform during the morning rush hour. Service was disrupted for about 90 minutes, with express trains skipping Union Square
