Neeraj murder case in Jerome guilty,Susairaj.
Neeraj was credited for developing the hit TV quiz show Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?, presented by Shah Rukh Khan. Yesterday, three years after Neeraj was murdered in actress Maria Susairaj's flat in a Mumbai suburb, the actress and her former fiancé Jerome Mathew were both found guilty. But not of murder.
Three years after the brutal killing of TV executive Neeraj Grover, a Mumbai court on Thursday held it was not a premeditated murder and absolved Kannada actress Maria Susairaj and her boyfriend Emile Jerome, an ex-navy officer, of the murder charge.
Jerome was found guilty of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, while Susairaj was held guilty of destruction of evidence.
The court accepted the confession of Maria which she said was voluntary and connected Jerome with the killing of Grover.
Grover was murdered at Kannada actress Maria’s Malad West apartment in suburban Mumbai on May 7. Mathew, a Naval Officer, was accused of the murder.
Neeraj's father Amarnath Grover told Headlines Today, "The verdict is very disappointing. Maria was the culprit. She is the conspirator."
