Marco Simoncelli Dead : Motorcycle Crashed In Malaysian MotoGP [VIDEO]

Italian motorcyclist Marco Simoncelli died in a horrific crash at yesterday's MotoGP race in Malaysia, in full view of his devastated family and girlfriend.

The 24-year-old was flung from his bike and skidded across the track, before apparently being hit by competitors Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi.

Simoncelli died on Sunday after a motorcycle crash during the Malaysian MotoGP when he fell on lap two of the Sepang Circuit race and was struck by two riders. Medics tried to resuscitate Simoncelli at the Sepang Circuit but he succumbed to his injuries.

The race was immediately red flagged as Simoncelli lay motionless on the track and then cancelled altogether once the extent of the Honda rider’s injuries became clear.

After being transported to the circuit’s medical centre by ambulance Simoncelli was pronounced dead due to “a very serious trauma to the head, to the neck and the chest”.
